I've loaded thousands of .38's using Titegroup and various 158 Grain bullets. It burns clean from mild to wild. The downside is that is is a small charge, and it is easy to double charge if you aren't mindful of your work.

Which 158 gr bullet and what is your barrel length?

Thanks, Alan

I use 158 LSWC with 3.0 of Titegroup @ 1.145. Soft & accurate in my 64-5!

Hi Alan,
I prefer an 158 gr HP copper plated and the barrel is 4"

I run 3.6 grains when I'm using Berry's Plated bullets in my 4" M64. 1.450 COAL. Right in the middle of the range for lead (3.2 - 3.8), closer to the bottom for jacketed (3.5 - 3.9) and very accurate. Pleasant to shoot as well.

Edit: The usual disclaimers apply. I am not an expert, I don't play one on TV. Hell, I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
