The OAL will be driven by the bullet you are using.
If you have a long slender more pointed bullet nose profile like a Lyman 358311 the OAL will be a little longer. If you are loading a bullet like a Lee TL358-158-2R the OAL will probably be a little shorter. Your bullet may have a small flat point for safety if loaded in tubular magazines. That will impact OAL.
I have never found OAL to be an issue with a 38 Special revolver with 158 grain bullets, just load the bullets you have to the correct length for them. This length may be the provided crimp groove, it may be to a shoulder on tumble lube bullets. On plated bullets you may need to just pick a length that looks good to crimp them at.
