Default Berrys plated bullets reloading question.

I use a lot of lead bullets with my 38 and 357 reloading. I purchased a box of 38cal,158gr,Flat Point DS bullets today. I have bullseye and clays powder for my 38's and use 2400 for a lot of my 357's. Has any one loaded these in the before mentioned powders? I should add these were plated bullets.

Using the Berry's or Rainier 158 grain FP plated bullet:

.38 Special
3.5 grains Bullseye
Federal 100 primer
Star-Line cases
OAL 1.465"

.357 Magnum
4.5 grains Bullseye
Federal 100 primer
Star-Line cases
OAL 1.590"

Both calibers are roll crimped into the side of the bullet, just short of breaking through the plating.

These have been accurate and easy shooting loads in everything I've thied them in.

I've been using a taper crimp on plated bullets for revolver.
You can use a 9mm seat/crimp die without the seating stem as a 4th step.
For me there was to fine of a line between under and over roll crimping, to little and the bullets would begin to pull, to much and I would get small pieces of copper plating in barrel and forcing cone.

RCBS also sells a 38/357 taper crimp die too. Works great on the Ranier plated DEWCs.
