Default Could someone extend some reloading assistance?

In the past few days I was stumbling around my workshop and discovered that I had a few boxes of Hornady.224 75gr AMAX bullets. Today I discovered that these bullets have been discontinued.

What I am lacking is a page of reloading data for this bullet.IF someone here has an older copy (pre-vol 10), that contains data for the 223 Remington using the 75gr AMAX bullet, could you share a picture of that page? I don't know which volume of the Hornady manual would have this data!

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

When I shot NRA Match Rifle and that bullet, I used 24.5 grains of H335 with fabulous results even back to 600 yards....
Hope that helps.......

Hodgdon has data for 75gr bullets in the .223 for 14 of their powders on their site. You didn't say which powder you were looking to use.

I have The 9th Edition Hornady manual.

There is no load data listed for 75gr. bullets for the 223 Remington.
There is load data for "223 Remington Service Rifle". I don't know what the difference (if any) is, but the case specs look the same.

There is also data for 5.56MM NATO. Both the 223 Service Rifle & 5.56 NATO list the A-MAX bullet.

Your post did not say if your rifle is chambered for 5.56 or 223, so I'll post all of the info in the 9th Edition.

I remember there were at least two different Hornady bullets in 75 grain weight at one time. One could not be loaded to "service rifle" length because the OAL prevented it from fitting into a detachable magazine so It was a bolt gun only load.

Don't know if that helps. I just can't remember much about it.
