Hey BigBlueBuckeye, first of all, Welcome and where are you located? (I'm in a Columbus 'burb.)
If you're talking about Berry's plated bullets, they specifically caution against loading past the mid-range data for jacketed bullets
of the same profile.
I have loaded thousands of 9 mm from Berry's both 110 and 124 gr. If you get much past loads advertising 1100 fps, they tend to tumble. As you approach 1200 fps, they tend to shred their plating on the way to the target!
According to Hodgdon's web site, WSF loads are 4.7 to 5.3 but are for FMJ, not Hollow Point. 4.8 should be fine but I wouldn't push it past 5.0 without doing a lot of research at the range.
This advice is free and is worth what you paid for it.
From Berry's Web Site: "Plated bullets occupy a position between cast bullets and jacketed bullets. They are soft lead, but have a hard outer shell on them. When loading plated bullets we have found best results using low- to mid-range jacketed data in the load manual. You must use data for a bullet that has the same weight and profile as the one you are loading. Do not exceed mid-range loads. Do not use magnum loads."
