Default Where to sell brass ?

I have tried several times the last few months to sell some brass. Not grungy range pickups, nice, clean once fired brass. 30-06, .223, 45acp, etc. Listed on local sites mostly, and tried here a time or two.

Have never even had a nibble, and was listing for less than closing prices on Gunbroker.

Is Gunbroker the place to sell it? When I need brass I know I end up paying nearly new prices for fired brass. Just try to find some 32 S&W long.

What is your shipped price on .45acp? Anything else besides what you have listed?

Sir, consider your audience. Revolver brass seems to move pretty well here (surprise!), but for .223 and .30-'06, you'd probably be better off trying Culver's Shooting page or one of the high power sites like nationalmatch.us.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

I hadn't thought about Culver's, good suggestion.

The 45 ended up all being processed and primed. Can no longer ship due to the primers, so not trying to sell it any more. I thought it would have sold quick, but no reloaders in my neck of the woods.

You can ship primed brass, just not through USPS. It can go UPS.

When I'm looking to buy brass I look here.

Swappin & Sellin - Cast Boolits

What is the "etc?" Most people are always looking for .357 Magnum brass.

USPS is the only shipper I can use without a 3 hour car trip.

I didn't mean this as an offer to sell thread, was trying to see where folks have had luck selling their OFB. This isn't a recent occurrence for me, no luck in the last 10 months. So some of it has been recycled internally since then.

The crazy expensive shipping charges on powder and primers mean I can't reload for what I can buy new. I am set up to reload every caliber I shoot, but can't feed the empty brass for what I can buy new ammo for.

The only exception is cast lead, I do load that, but not for rifles.

If you buy enough powder and primers at the same time you certainly can cover the Haz Mat and Shipping fees to be able to reload for much less than buying loaded ammo?? There is no place you can have a UPS delivery made to???

You don't mention quantities, but Georgia Arms might buy/trade for ammo. Have a friend who meets them at local gunshows and swaps brass for ammo or sells it outright. Probably won't get top dollar, but if its taking up space or you're not likely to use it might be an option.

I sold some brass a few months ago. 45ACP, 357MAG. sell pretty good if you sell at a fair price. Cleaning brass or doing anything else to improve doesn't add much if any value to it because the people that buy it already have the equipment to clean the brass. Most people can get all the .223, 9mm, and 40 caliber free. I found that I could come out just about as good scraping these out. When I scraped my brass it was bringing $1.85 per pound. This price can change daily. Don

PS The best place I found to sell brass is a forum called The High Road.

It does take 25 relevant posts not in Swap & sell and 30 days membership to sell. If you are not a caster there would be other options.

I think it’s pretty simple…..if you have good stuff and it’s priced right it will sell.

Dennis.

OOPS. Didn't know that. I've always been the buyer, not the seller.
Shouldn't be too hard to make 25 posts in 30 days tho.

Personally, I'd offer on S&W or my local Calguns boards first.
