I'm getting ready to load some Hornady 162 grain A-max in my 7mm Rem mag and just bought a pound of Hodgdon H-1000 powder. From what I have determined, it produces good velocity with relatively low chamber pressure. I had previously used Sierra 160 grain SBT Game Kings with Norma MRP and wasn't happy with the results.

Does anyone have experience with H-1000?

I've been wanting to try it in the 300 WBY, but have not and probably won't because of the outstanding performance I get with IMR 7828. Great accuracy, good velocity, long brass life and long barrel life , I have one 300 that's burnt over 12lbs of the stuff, let us know how you like the H-1000
