Sir, don't use Re-22 in your Garand. Its burn rate is altogether too slow, which means pressure at the gas port is too high, which then results in a bent op rod. This can happen even with light loads, BTW. Varget is debatable--some say it's fine, and others say it isn't. I personally haven't tried it.
The Garand was designed around IMR 4895, and it's still a very good choice. Keep your muzzle velocities moderate: 2,700-2,800 fps for 150s and 2,500-2,600 fps for 168s. Also make sure that your primers are seated below flush.
