Golden West Brass Bullets

I got 1000 of the 124gr FMJ for $90 plus shipping.

Any one familiar with them www.goldenwestbrass.com/. THey seem ok compared to the Precision Delta ones I have. The only difference I could see is that the base is a tiny bit smaller than the base of the PD bullets.

Has anyone had any luck using these?

We are leaving for the range in a little bit to try out the first reloads. Half with PD and half with Golden West.

I stopped into their business 7 or 8 years ago in El Monte CA. Used to buy their 168g 308’s & thought I’d save money on the shipping costs by picking up the bullets. It turns out the place was some kind of junk yard with oriental workers/owners. It took them 10 minutes to get a worker from the back that spoke English to see what I wanted.

They didn’t have any 168g bullets ready that day & told me to come back tomorrow. All the bullets they had that I saw were in drums/containers & were pull down bullets that needed tumbled/polished & ran thru a sizer. I never bought any bullets from them after seeing that.

Still, at 90 cents a bullet, you should have shopped around a bit more.

I suspect he just left off a zero in his first post. If not, then he definitely needed to shop around.

Well you know, at that price they were gold plated not copper.

Yes I left off a zero. Shot them today and they were far more accurate than the Precision Delta with the same load. I did not know that same weight bullet could shoot so different from two manufactures. Biggest difference i could see was the roundness of the nose. The PD were more round and the Golden West were a little more pointed.
