Just acquired a Springfield Armory Loaded Target 45 (5 inch)and want to work up a bowling pin load with some Longshot powder I have in stock. I will be using a 200 grain lead flat nosed Missouri bullet.

Any suggestions and what the fps will be approximately?

IMO Longshot is too slow a powder for use in the .45 Auto which is a low pressure round. That powder will be perform erratically and leave a lot of dirt behind. If you were shooting the 40 S&W it would be different.

Sorry I couldn't give you what you were looking for but that powder just isn't a good choice for use in the 45 Auto.

^^^ agreed... Longshot is my 10mm powder. Win 231 is a great powder for 45....
