Default reloading the 12 Ga.

OUCH !!

With the price of shot,primers and powder going out of sight, the best I can average for my trap loads is...........

$ 6.02 a box for 1 1/8 oz loads.

That price for lead at $48 a bag is a killer.

Hope to gear up for this coming season............might wait and see if the factory ammo might come down to $60 a flat,after the scare settles down ?

Mercy

Those are regular "pre-ban talk" prices around here.

I can get the lead a little cheaper online but pay too much in shipping.
Cheaper to buy it locally for me @ $45 / 25lb chilled lead shot.

209 primers are between $5 - $6 / 100. Again, cheaper online but with a hazmat charge it's cheaper locally.

The only cheap portions of it are the WADS (unless you are using specialty WADS like Piston Skeet or Trap Commanders) and the shells (used).

See who your local trap club is getting their birds from. Lots of times that person also can supply components at a slightly better price. At least if he delivers powder and primers there would be no HAZ-MAT charge that way.

Possibly get with others at the club and split a ton of shot(80 bags), might get better price that way too.
