Ohio Folks are lucky!
The wife kidnapped me this weekend for our 35th anniversary.
We ended up in Ohio for some "R&R", and on the way home she says: "Let's stop by that store you found on that business trip."
I said: "Fin, Fur and Feathers? SURE!"
So, once again, I had to take a trip to their basement. One of the reasons I like that store is because I can put my hands on lots of different stuff.
Like this press display:
The shelves had less on them than usual, but, there was plenty left there, including primers, to build what most folks need.
Now, I didn't buy one of these but sure thought it looked interesting:
(I thought of Maximumbob when I saw it!)
Gonna have to do some research on that bullet feeder!
If you live close to Ashland or Cleveland, Ohio, you need to check these folks out.....

First of all - Happy 35th Anniversary!! The Missus and I will hit that milestone next year (if I pass the audition ).
Folks think we exaggerate when we speak of The Fin. The most incredible reloading department I've ever seen...

Thanks blu!
It is no exaggeration!
While there, there were some bubba's looking at the presses. They were saying, Dillon this and Dillon that so I butted in and told them they couldn't go wrong with the Hornady LNL AP either, and, oh, by the way, that one there came with a bullet feeder! I told the, I had two XL650s and neither one of mine had that!
Make sure someone tells Rule 3 that I did that!

Nice, congratulations on your 35th anniversary!!!
Fin, fur & feather is an excellent outfitter. I go to the Cleveland store a lot more then the Ashland store. The Cleveland store is basically across the street from a local gunshow that's also a good one, the Berea show.

Looks like the Ashland store with the reloading in the basement... Great place.
You were within an hour or so from Jaquas in Findlay, Buffalo is just around the corner in Findlay.
The other direction is .... cant remember the name in Coshocton. Another big place in Shelby, straight east of Ashland

Fin, Feather, and Fur now has a Canton, Ohio store in the Belden Village area, off of I-77.
Out of towners can visit the FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME TOO, it's not far away.

The picture only shows about 1/6 of the basement containing the reloading 'stuff'. The berea and canton stores have good reloading stuff but nowhere near what the ashland store has. In two weeks,it'll be 3 stops along I71 for me,berea gunshow, medina gunshow, and Berea Fin Fur Feather.

Hairtrigger is right, the Sportsman's Den in shelby Oh is another good store for firearms, ammo & reloading supplies.
I'm finely burning the last 4# cady of powder I bought from them 3 years ago. They are also well worth the 20 mile drive from Ashland to Shelby.

Cleveland? Is that up by Canada and the Arctic Circle? where the winter wind blows and the rivers catch on fire and burn from the pollution? No thanks.
But they do have another hidden gem down in South Lebanon. It called something like the Old Country Attic. Its out of the way so you wouldn't see it unless you were looking. They had a pretty impressive collection of stuff to sell. Including case lube back when I was looking.

Not a lot of reloading vendors near where I live. Cabelas and Kittery Trading Post are the big two, neither show anything in stock for primers. Cabelas probably has some powder, but they keep it in a locked wooden cabinet, so you can't see what they have in-stock without having an associate come over to unlock it. A LGS near where I work as only Federal Shotshell primers in stock, they do have a limited selection of powder--a lot of which has fresh price stickers.
Fortunately, I don't "NEED" anything at the moment for reloading supplies, so just playing the waiting game now, and trying to finishing getting set up to start casting. Working on getting something together for a smelter to start melting down the 200 lbs of lead wheel weights I just acquired.

A friend of my wifes told her to tell me about the big gun store with walls of guns in Shelby, called the Sportman's Den. My Cousin and I are going to take a trip down there soon to check it out.
As far as Jaquas goes, when you walk into the gun vault, you immediately start drooling and the credit cards begin to quake in your pocket.

I like going to The Trading Post in Kittery when the wife, daughter, and I go to Maine. The last time I went there, I came home with a very nice Winchester Model 92 in .32-20 W.C.F. I had won some money at the Turning Stone Casino in New York a couple of days earlier, so I treated myself to the Winchester. I even had enough to give the wife and daughter some money for their shopping ventures too.
Another time I went there, I saw 5 Colt Saa's that I really liked, so I had the sales clerk set them up on the counter. I had just paid off my credit card and was thinking how nice it would be to buy all five of them, but when I started checking them over, they all had problems. I decided not to buy even one of them and still don't regret that decision.

Fin's awesome! Best in town and what's worst is they had soooo many bare shelves lately and usually they are stocked full!
Since, this thread seems to be geared toward northern ohio, does anyone here happen to have a 22 suppressor that lives up north and would want to do some demo shooting for me? I Haven't found anyone yet and have been looking.

While you're in Shelby make sure you set aside a couple of hours to visit the "Shelby Mall" which is actually named "Glenn's Surplus" but the locals gave it the Mall nickname and it stuck. HUGE industrial liquidator/military surplus/whatnot shop, you never know what they have. Lawn Mower Parts, Military Surplus, and everything in between at Glen's Surplus

When the OGCA was in Cleveland a stop on the way home at the Fin was pretty much required, the old store was nice, but the new store is unbelievable. We still make special trips up to the Fin since it just over an hour away from me. I tend to spend most of my time and money in the basement. The downside of the new store is it's just too darn crowded. At the old place you could take a rifle or shotgun out back and give it a try before you bought it.
Yes we are quite lucky, we have Jaqua's in Findley if $20,000 shotguns are your bag. and we have the OGCA, where a certain 800lb gorilla has known to hang out.

I was at their Middleburg Heights store today and the shelves in the reloading area are just about bare. I have to make a run down to the Ashland Store and see what they have left. The store in Middleburg had a fair amount of guns though. It figures when I'm not looking they have them. They had a decent supply of ammo if you're willing to pay the prices.

Buffalo Trading Co.
I stopped by the Buffalo Trading Co. today and asked to dry fire a 4013 and a 6906. The young lady behind the counter said they didn't like customers to do that. I ask why and she told me it could ruin the gun. I left. So much for a knowledeable staff.

I was able to snag 2K LP primers at the Ashland store a couple weeks ago. At least I can keep the 45's running!

I already said, when I am rich and famous like you I am getting one of those Horny LNL reloading/ammo factories!
You could have picked one up for me.

If I buy you a press of any kind, it is either going to be blue to start with or I am going to get a can of Dillon touchup paint and repaint it first!
THEN, maybe you will quite screaming every time someone mentions that they have one!

I wouldn't recommend one of those--reloading requires a lot of concentration. Besides I'm not sure I could work the handle on that press.
Rule3, what is the rate per hour on one of those?

It's really not that bad. I don't run a bullet feeder on mine since I cast but you can swing that arm as slow as you like.
Or you can go nuts...

Yes, we in Ohio are very lucky. We have great stores like Fin we're a pro-gun State with good gun laws. God Bless America.

Just what are you insinuating?? I lack concentration and old and feeble minded
I can barely keep up with my Lee turret press at 100 to 125 per hour!!
You guys wait, I'm getting one. Only problem is I have no place to put it. Either have to move or add an extension to the house.

Not in the least, but you certainly took the "ad" out of Hornady. Perhaps another "blue" product was affecting your concentration when you were posting.

Stopped at FF&Fin Ashland on Sunday on my way to Cleveland. They had a fair amount of ammo including some .22LR. As far as reloading supplies, they had bullets and some Large Rifle primers. Very few cans of powder but said they were hoping to get Alliant powders in soon. This was my first visit and it is a very nice store, but like all the other stores around ...a lot of bare shelves.

I used to get all my reloading supplies there. Then I made the mistake of moving. I haven't found anything near as nice here.

Re: Ohio Folks are lucky!
I live 10 minutes from the Cleveland store, and got into reloading a few months ago. Always thought FFF was immune to component/ammo shortages as they were ALWAYS fully stocked. Now they're out of primers and powder and I'm kicking myself for my naivete and not stocking up while I had the chance. In my defense, I've only been shooting for about a year and never had to live through the shortages...

went to both shows today. Both promotors use/have the same vendors/collectors,so it was gonna be interesting to see where loyalty lies. Found out at the East Canton show last week that vendors were gearing up to have a presence at both shows. Went to Medina first, not the overwhelming crowd as was at the last Medina show, but typical of pre-frenzy. Then went to the Berea(close to Cleveland proper) show,HUGE Frenzy crowd as was at the last Berea show. Tomorrow,Sunday, the situation might reverse.
At the Medina show got bricks of CCI SR,CCI 41 5.56,CCI 34 7.62 primers,4-100rd bags of 308 brass,2 old stock(metal cans) IMR3031 (still sealed) and 2 bricks of Rem LRM primers @ 20. At the Berea show bought powder,1-IMR7625,1-IMR4895,4-IMR3031.
Except for 40/10mm 155jhp bullets,I acquired everything I was seeking.
After the shows, there was no need to stop at Fin Fur Feather as I acquired my wants at the shows.I was just gonna stop there to check their powder supply.

Went to the FFF in Middleburg Hts. on Saturday and found the same bare shelves in the powder / primer area everyone else is reporting. They had a decent amount of factory ammo on-hand and the gun cases were the usual mob-scene.

Seems like a good place to tell all the people close to Cleveland that the next NE Ohio bunch will be advertised in the public lounge on March 1st. All the details will be in the post. Anyone interested in S&W's is welcome to come and enjoy a S&W afternoon with the group. Larry

2 guns shows(North Canton and Dalton) Feb.23 & 24
Dates & Directions
Buckeye Event Center
they're only about 25 miles apart. The North Canton show is 90-100 tables. The Dalton show is a good size show.

Went to Dalton show yesterday,85 miles-170 round trip,3rd time I went to this show. Got there at 11,left at 2:30. FRENZY,FRENZY,FRENZY. Parking was worse than inside the show. Had to park about 3/4 mile away, that didn't bother me as I'm a walker(couple dozen times each year to Cedar Point,I'd better be a walker). All the tables/rows closest to the door were unable to be walked thru, mobs of people. Once you got away from that area, things began to open up. Nobody had powder, brass & bullets for 223/5.56 & 308/7.62 didn't exist. Seen CCI 200 SR primers going for 45-52 a brick. Picked up an old can(still sealed) of SR4756(my primary handgun powder),6 223 50rd plastic boxes, and a variety of paracord, and some misc stuff.
