Neat, huh? Any idea as to the time frame?

My guess would be 80's or early 90's, but that is just a guess. I got a batch of reloading equipment a couple months ago, and there were some really neat old cans of Hercules 2400 and Unique with pop-top caps. You apply pressure to the center of the cap and they pop off the lip, then to put the cap back on you set it on, and squeeze the outside of the cap and it pops back up and locks onto the can. I'm guessing early 70's on those.

That box of 1000 CCI primers is tiny by today's standards (1-1/2x2x4). It also comes with a warning that "primers in bulk are capable of mass explosion."

Aw Hell, I almost forgot the whole point of this story - Dan does not ship but if you're near Westerville he does have small and large pistol and rifle primers in stock. I used to think he was overpriced (at $36 - $40) but he hasn't raised his prices so now he's a bargain! Also sells by the hundred...

too bad one of my old customers we sold him plastic bags for cases and misc bought many a gun and bullets from him in the 70's and 80's back then a colt series 70 was $199 and a ruger blackhawk was the same a ruger bearcat with black anodized trigger gaurd was $79 I will go over and buy up what I can passing of the guard

I was buying Hercules cans like this in the late 60's. Still have 2 full unopened cans of Unique that my Dad and I bought back then..
