HP38 & 8lb-W231 @ Cabelas.
Don't know if anyone is looking for some, but Cabelas is showing it in stock--and they have one of the lowest Hazmat fees that I have seen ($20). Opposed to the $27.50 Grafs or MidwayUSA charges. They are also showing a fair selection of IMR powder in-stock too.

Glad it helped out someone here.

I'd say wait if you can. My last jug of HP-38, 8 lb., was $113 and that was a few weeks ago. Hazmat fee was $25 but it came with another 40 lb of other product. 50 pound fee per hazmat.

BTW, the Hazmat fee is not set by the supplier, it's set by the courier and I think it's a uniform fee. |

If your a Hazmat approved shipper UPS charges $27.50 if your a Hazmat Approved Permit holder UPS charges $20.00. UPS requires a shipper to be Hazmat Approved and to be approved the shipper must attend a class and pass a written test

I'm afraid we are going to see a major price adjustment up that will not lower.
Didn't prices take a permanent upturn during the last Obama driven panic the year he was elected? Consumption is worse now. Many new reloaders and shooters and far too suppliers trying to supply... guess what happens in a free market? The only hope I think we have is more suppliers try supplying more goods to provide pressure to bring prices down. However the odds of that happening are lower these days due to the extreme difficulty in starting a new business in the hostile environment the socialists/progressives have caused over the decades with regulation and taxation. So to be a Debbie Downer , that leaves you with existing makers pretty much. Unless they are going to expand a lot (again current Taxation and health care policy at the Federal level is HOSTILE to business doing so) there is little 'incentive' to get prices to lower to what we saw a year ago. I hope I"m full of caca. |
Buzi, that's what I'm afraid of. I didn't think it was a great price, but I'd rather be kicking myself in a few months because the price came down, than be kicking myself in a few months because it was a great price, or because there's none to be found.

I took a walk through one of the sporting good stores here in Reno today.
They had 8 pounds of red dot and green dot but I passed on it since I am pretty good on my shotgun powders but I did walk out with a pound each of Bullseye and Unique for the 38 special. Sure wish the primers would start to show up............. |
Primers for less than $20/1000. How about picking up 25 boxes of small pistol ship them to me and I'll give you $50 for your efforts and I'll cover shipping and hazmat.
