45 Revolver Match load
I know many struggle with ACP revolver accuracy, however today I found a match grade combo. I have many ACP revolvers, however my OGCA M28 converted to acp with 1950 barrel and cylinder shot several groups under one inch at 25 yards with 185 cast SWC over 4 grains of titegroup. It was a super sunny day and I was extremley shocked to see one large hole appear after 5 shots.

I have never struggled with ACP revolver accuracy. Out of the box from day one it has put one ragged hole in the target.

This...
Every 1917, 25, 625 I have ever known has shot every load I have tried well enough that my bad shooting is more to blame for poor groups than the gun or the ammo.

H&G #68 200 gr SWC over 4.5 of Bullseye, GI Match cases.
What I loaded for Bullseye Matches 45 years back for my 25-2 Smith.
Wish I had the sharp vision of youth I had THEN.....NOW.

I've been shooting 4.2 gr. of Bullseye & any 200gr. cast SWC, for 30yrs. now. My 25-2 just shoots them into one hole. So does my 4" M22. I recently switched to Rainier 200gr HP. to get away from the smoke & soot on the gun. Figured my wife probably wouldn't appreciate getting her hands as dirty as me. The Rainiers shoot gust as well, and slide in the gun a lot easier with moon clips then SWC's. I've never had an issue with accuracy with my 45 revolvers. They are the must accurate handguns I own!!!

Hmm, me too. My M625-1 has been more accurate than I can hold since it came out of the box. I feed it any wt lead bullet over WST, on good days it will stay under 2" @ 25yds, plenty accurate for IDPA/combat shooting, which is why I have it. TG w/ lead bullets, never.

45 acp revolvers
Been shooting 45 acp revolvers for over 40 years, and I concur with those who say "one hole groups"...my pet load was always 200gr cast SWC over 4.5 Bullseye.....ran the same load with 230 RN in my 1911's...still do....shoot 1917's, 25's, 625's....all good.

Thanks for the responses. 45 revs are just fun to load for.

All of my shots go into one ragged hole if I stand close enough to the target and shoot single action with good lighting so I can clearly see the sights.
That said, my 625-8 is an accurate gun although probably not as intrinsically accurate as my tuned 1911. All misses with it are my fault.
