GAS CHECKS
Was looking for Lyman gas checks, 38 cal. What I found was some in aluminum. Anyone ever use these??? Am wondering how they might compare?? THANKS!!!

I've shot lots of aluminum checks. They work just fine for me using Ranch Dog load data for his 165gr .310 bullet for my .30-30 Marlin. I buy them from eBay or Gator Checks.

MAX, THANKS, but I went to check them out. It says they have no web site and are sold through "GROUP" buys. As luck would have it I have another source. Too bad they don't sell to us little guys.

Lymans gaschecks are now made by Hornady, and packaged as Lymans. Are you looking for the old "slip fit" style, or the newer crimp ons? The old style checks are no longer being made, but Hornady checks are readily available.
