Default DARDAS CAST BULLETS ??????

I am thinking of placing a large order with Dardas cast Bullets and
would like to know if anybody here has any experience with their products. I have never bought from them and was impressed with what I read on their site. The bullet caster I bought from last go round has raised his prices substantially and so I have been shopping around. Thanks in advance.

I checked with Penn and they do not have the bullet that I shoot the most which is the .38 Special 158 grain RNL. They only have the SWC which I don't favor as much as the RNL. What I have gotten from them is good but for what ever reason they don't cary what I want.

But thank you anyway!

I have bought from Dardas, SNS Casting and Missouri Bullets. I don't know how large your order is, but most offer discounts for 5K and 10K break points. All have worked for me. There is a difference in hardness, so decide what you are going to load and pick from them.

I just received 8k bullets from Dardas, in 3 different calibers. This was my second order. They are very clean to work with and the quality is excellent! They shoot really well.
My 8k were part of a larger order, so we got the 10k+ discount.

I have used several different bullets in the past, but going forward, most will continue to come from Dardas.

I have used Dardas in several different calibers and have not had any issues at all with his products.
Great product, great price and best of all (at least for me) He is only about 5 or 6 miles away, so I can pick up my order when it is ready. He is an all around great guy.

I have used Missouri Bullets, Penn Bullets, Bullets Direct, Oregon Trail, Meister, and many many more over the last 30 years all with very good results. In fact I can't really say anything negative about any of them except some of them have become cost prohibitive for the amounts I shoot. Dardas is new to me and their bullet alloy seems to be about standard - at least as standard as can be these days with a 92-2-6 mixture resulting in a BHN of 16 which I do like. I consider that to be sort of a do-all kind of cast bullet for me and I get accuracy and non leading which is my goal. Unless someone can give me a good reason NOT to order from them I think I'm gonna place a 10,000 pc. order which should last me a few years. So again, thank you all your responses and if you have any more specific info on Dardas I'd really like to know.

Thanks again,
Chief38

I have used their 124 gr round nose in 9mm. Good accuracy, little leading. Very happy with their product.

Matt has a new(er) 9mm bullet. It is a 126gr LSWC! It cuts perfect holes in paper. I use them for PPC with my S&W Pro Series 1911 in 9mm. Great bullets for the 9!

Interesting, I will pass that on to my buddy. I am currently using my own cast for 9mm. After the madness this year, I like having control over one more link of my supply chain.

Thumbs up Dardas satisfaction

I have been working with the Dardas .38 caliber 150 grain SWC
bullet for some time now. I find that the bullets are very high in quality compared with other commercial cast bullets which I have used. This 150 gn. SWC has proven to be very accurate. It has two very wide driving bands and one wide and deep lube groove. I will buy from them again.

Matt is good guy to deal with and makes a very fine quality product.
In addition he was just recently running a sale and that may still be on.

I don't offer the RNL as most people use the TCBB bullet for the same applications.

It's a shame because Penn's quality is good, but I just like the 158 gr. RNL
over the TC and SWC shapes. I find that the RNL just eases into the forcing cone better (as there are no sharp edges to catch) are very accurate because they do not get nicked and distorted as much, and do not get the loading dies as dirty as the other shapes do. I am sure nostalgia has something to do with it also even though the "new" RNL shape has obsoleted the older more elongated RNL style. Think I'm gonna give Dardas a shot this go-round.

Thanks for all your responses - I feel better now that I see that Dardas is an upstanding Company.

Regards,
Chief38

I ordered a couple thousand bullets in 3 different calibers a while back and was impressed by the product, customer service and packaging. Will order from them again and would recommend them to others.

Dardas offers lead slugs for sale for slugging your barrel. You can then send him your slugs and he will measure the slug diameter for correct bullet sizing. This part is a free service. He then emails the info back to you. I measured my own slugs but had trouble getting a good read on my M&P 9mm barrel. He measured it out @ 0.356 which means I need a 0.357 bullet. I placed an order for the 0.357's.
