Northstar's site is back up and working well. I just shot up a couple hundred of thei 255 grain Keith style LSWC in .45 Colt with very good results. Sixteen grains of 2400 was quite accurate and roughly ~1,000 fps in my 6" 25-9.

CB Bullets and paypal
I was checking out some sources found here for obtaining .380 bullets and checked out the CB Bullets link. They show to accept paypal. I know paypal used to say its services can't be used to acquire a large number of firearm related items and I thought reloading components, not equipment, was one of them. Has that changed.

I purchased some 158 grain LSWC from Straight Shooters Cast Bullets a couple of months ago. They use PayPal as their method of payment exclusively IIRC.

You might want to remove Montana Bullet Works from the list.
He has retired. Its unfortunate as he seems to be the only one
that offered certain bullets like a light WFN in 44.
I have corresponded with him. He is trying to sell the business.
I hope someone does pick up on this.

Another bullet maker to use is Mastercast Bullets LLC. Their web address is mastercastbullets.com (different from the Mastercast already listed). I have shot several of their bullets with great success.

I've used Rocky Mountain Reloading for 9mm bullets, about 6 months ago their prices started "creeping" up. I looked around and found that Extreme bullets were less expensive so I switched. I got my last order from Extreme about a week ago but yesterday I got an email ad from them for 5% off. I looked at their website and thought the prices looked different so I checked my invoices and sure enough, they had gone up. Looking around, I found that RMR had dropped their prices on the bullet that I use. So when the next order goes in, that may be where I get them (I'll check around before I order). The difference is only ~$8.00 per thousand, but I use a thousand a week, so over a year it's a substantial amount. So, this is a reminder to everyone: Make sure you check the various sources for price changes.

Add "San Juan Range/ Colorado Cast Bullets" in Montrose, CO to the list. I've been using these bullets for many years and recently got a nice tour of the place which was very interesting. I took home 4500 bullets at a great price. They can supply .454" bullets for 45 Colt S&W revolvers with larger throats if you ask for them. Nice people to deal with.

Xtreme Bullets has a sale this week.
For some reason, my email notices don't arrive until most of the week has past, but here it is.
Edited to add: Oh, and I see Mr. Bkreutz, has beaten me to the punch . . . as usual.

Montana Bullet Works for sale
I just got an email from the former operator of Montana Bullet Works:
"Dear customer,
Because of some recent, troublesome physical disabilities, I am no longer able to operate Montana Bullet Works. However, it is for sale, at a very attractive price.
The price includes over 400,000 bullets already cast and waiting to be sized and lubed. Also included is all of the necessary equipment, materials and customer contacted needed to re-open MBW. Once relocated, it truly is a turn-key operation.
I have a large and loyal customer base, including you, who appreciate the quality and variety that MBW offers. They would respond very favorably to a re-opening of the business.
If you are interested in purchasing MBW and/or need additional information, please contact Mr. Platt through his email, [email protected]. Please feel free to forward this email as well to anyone you feel would be interested.
Thank you all for your years of loyalty,
Dave
Montana Bullet Works
3390 Canyon Drive
Unit D28
Billings, MT 59102
Email: [email protected]

I myself am too old and not much of a businessman, but I sure hope someone is interested in this.
Montana had a great selection of different bullets.

Good news:
Montana Bullet Works is back and seemingly better than ever.
Home page - Montana Bullet Works - Custom Ladle Cast Bullets
Looks like they have all the LBT designs and many others at prices lower than Cast Perf. or Beartooth.
Going to have to try them out.. maybe with the unusual 220 OWC-PB 44.
Could be good in the 44 special as a SD or souped up a little as a rural carry load.

Consider adding Montana Gold Bullet Welcome I used them regularly (along with Precision Delta, which you have already included) when I was shooting a LOT of rounds in IDPA and USPSA matches.
Their jacketed bullets got to be quite reasonable when you bought a case lot (which is whatever quantity would fit into a Priority Mail Flat Rate box at just below the 70# limit.)
(Sorry about the goofy link here. I've edited a dozen times, but no matter what address I copy from the web site and paste here I can't get it to SAY Montana Gold AND go to the site.)

I just updated the list. As you can see, the last 5 years have been hard on the small businessman. I found four times as many out-of-business manufacturers as I did new manufacturers.
My apologies for letting this go for a bit...life got in the way.
As always if you see corrections or additions, post here and I will update.

Thanks for the original and updated version. Just a suggestion, how about just delete the "dead" ones?, They are gone, it would clean up the list, be easier to reference. But heck so many do not even know of the "notable threads"

I plan on doing that...just giving folks a chance to let me know if a company is still in business, but changed domains (and I couldn't find them).

Just a thought - if this list also had location (or at least state) those who like to buy local and avoid shipping would have a head start on looking up who's nearby.
Great resource, thanks so much for your list!

I think your resource here is terrific.
I will disagree about deleting the dead links and closed businesses. Lots of folks are familiar with suppliers they formerly used, recently used or have absolutely heard of... being able to scan down the list of the businesses that are gone is a way to head off numerous questions and suggestions to “I always liked ______”
And if you leave them in their own collection at the end, nobody that is searching for a new bullet supplier has to bother looking at them. They are out of the way at the end of the list.

The issue I see there is that the shipping fee goes away, but state tax takes over.
I updated the list so active links are at the top, and dead links and closed companies are at the bottom. I hope that works.

Shipping is negligible. Most are using USPS flat rate so you can get75 lbs or around 2K bullets in one large flat rate. You would spend more money on gas to drive to the places plus tax, unless you live next door. In that case you wouldn't be looking for a supplier.

Montana Bullet Works has been re-opened.
See my post from 01-17-2017 02:19 AM
Montana Bullet Works - Custom Ladle Cast Bullets
They are much different than Montana Gold and have a huge collection of the LBT molds, some unique.
They also offer both the true Keith style and a GC version (Elmer would not have approved).
Some of their .44's go up has large as .433" which is unusual.

Take a look at Reeds Ammunition and Research. I order bullets for my .455 Eley from them. They have some unique bullet selections.
