Thanks for the info. I had no idea there were so many. I just placed
an order with Dardas a couple of days ago. They offer a choice of dia.
which is nice if you're loading for older guns with oversize chamber
throats.

Jerry @ Carolina Cast Bullets suffered a stroke in late October and is now home from the hospital. I talked to his wife on 10-31. He needs our prayers while his recovery continues.
I live about 15 miles from him, and have bought his bullets in the past.
12/1 UPDATE: I talked to Jerry's wife this morning. He is in speech and physical therapy at this time. He is expected to be back to 'normal' and casting bullets again in late February or early March. He still needs and appreciates our prayers.

I ordered a batch of 800 255 grain Keith style .45 Colt bullets from Northstar Bullets last week. They are very good and shipped immediately. It is a small operation, but they do a good job. I also order from Cast Performance for my 250 grain .41 magnum bullets.

What about shipping costs? A bullet is the heaviest component in a cartridge and shipping costs often depend on weight. It's been many years since I've ordered cast bullets from Midway, and I'm wondering if a local gun store can price lead bullets cheaper because he gets them shipped in bulk?

A standard size box from the post office holds 70# for ~$11 shipping the last time I bought cast bullets. Remember there are 7,000 grains to 1# when calculating bullet quantities.

I like the idea of moly coated bhllets from Bear Creek, but the site doesn't list the hardness. Anyone want to chime in about this?

I have heard good things about Rocky Mountain reloading. I did have a question, email them and got a reply the same day. They don't charge for shipping. Here is a link for them.

One of my favorite sources that I didn't see here is:
Western Bullet Company in Montana.
A wonderful selection of styles not seen elsewhere and great personalized service.
A favorite from them is the Lyman 429348 180 grain .44 caliber full wadcutter.

I'd settle for powder at any price. My retail shops haven't seen powder in a long time (well, not any powder that I can use, I don't load shotgun, 50BMG, or black powder) The online sources aren't much better. The last time I saw W231 or HP38 was 4 or 5 months ago. (bought my limit and now getting to the point of using backup plan "A"... Titegroup I've got 8# of that stashed in the back of the powder bunker ) (powder bunker = old Army footlocker )

Im seeing some primers in the local stores, but no powder.Seems to be plenty of it at the gun shows though. Finally dug through my stuff that was packed away and came up with 10-11 lbs of shotgun/pistol powders and 6-7k of mostly pistol primers.

I have used Desperado Cowboy Bullets (Soft Cast w/ very soft Black Powder compatible lube). A little more $ but my guns like them better than others, have runs a few thousand with virtually no leading. Shipping was fast too.
Welcome to Desperado Cowboy Bullets, LLC -
I haven't got around to trying Black and Blue Bullets, so I can't comment on experience and CS
Lead Bullets
They now use the Hi-Tek coating from Donnie at Bayou with every color available.
