SNS CASTING is using HI-TEK "GOLD" coating 2 part deal with a catalyst.

I'm applying the same coating and BAKING myself.

I've tried a few last week and have just finished coating a bunch.

Last Week, seemed to be NO LEADING or any REAL SMOKE.

Lead is totally enclosed with the coating.

The Product comes from Australia where their COMPETITION SHOOTERS

have been using these coated bullets for 20 years now.

Great Results.

I don't know if SNS sells components or just the finished product.

I received my components from Donnie at Bayou Bullets.

He sells GREEN/GOLD/RED/BLACK components or the GREEN bullets

already coated, SNS has the GOLD bullets finished.

I've been having good luck with the GOLD coatings.

Check the thread HI-TEK coatings and read all about this stuff.

This may well be the future as it TOTALLY ENCAPSULATES THE LEAD.

ESPECIALLY FOR INDOOR SHOOTING RANGES.

pete850,

Cast Boolits Forum has threads,

Coatings and Alternatives.

May folks are looking into different methods,

From the HI-TEK coatings you were referring to at SNS Casting

(Bayou Bullets has that coating too), to Powder Coated bullets,

SNS sells COATED BULLETS, Bayou Bullets sells COATED BULLETS or the MATERIAL TO DO IT YOURSELF.

to EPOXY and Acrylic Painting bullets.

More use the Powder coatings for RIFLE BULLETS, LUBE is NOT

REQUIRED with these methods, as the coating is also the lube.

Moonman thanks for answering my questions!
I have 2000 of the already coated bullets on the way. They are 148 full wadcutters.

Ed to your question these are new to me and moonman had the answer to what you asked.
I will post pics when they arrive. They are a lot cheaper than plated 2000 bullets for $176 shipped
