Default 38 Spl - Data for Titegroup & 105gr TCFP bullets

Hodgdon website provides data only for 110gr XTP bullets with Titegroup powder. Can this data be used for 105gr TCFP lead bullets?
Is there specific data just for 105gr TCFP bullets with Titegroup powder?

Very familiar with Titegroup and Hornady XTP, not with your TCFP (brand?).
With no specific data, I'd start with 4.5gr Titegroup, load a handfull and run them over a chrono on a target. Judge load mostly by speed and accuracy.

My experience with light bullets in .38 is mostly mediocre.

Default For lead bullets....

Lyman's Cast Loading handbook has nothing but loads for lead bullets. If you are going to be loading lead it is highly recommended.

My 38 snub loves the lead 125gr bullets with a LOT of powders.
530 is the minimum and the high stops around 665 for my testing for a X-Lit target load for the girls.
The sweet spot was any load near 600 fps in my snub nose J frame.

I tried the LFN and the "Cowboy" LRN styles and the RN gave me a little better accuracy but I don't believe the 105gr come RN....just the truncated style nose.

I have yet to see how they do in my 6" barrels but they sure make great "Powder Puff" target loads. They make the Factory 148wc feel like a +P.

Like I said in your other thread on the other forum...
My suggestion is to contact Hodgdon directly and ask them for data. They are usually very helpful.
