Is a Lee single stage press good enough? Yes. Period.

Default 10 x Lee Classic Turret press.

With out hesitation I would buy a Lee Classic Turret press over the single stage lee. Here is why. You can use the turret press as a single stage press , just remove the indexing rod and bam you got a single stage. When you get more familiar with loading you will want to go a little faster than the single stage can. IMHO. The Classic Turret has a bigger throat than the cast press and gives you more room for your larger rifle calibers. All in All the best of both worlds.

I've been loading on an RCBS Jr., for fifty years or so. Still do.

I got a Dillion SDB about 15 years ago, when I really got into handgun shooting. Really nice, fast press.

I'm getting old, and can't remember squat, so have to read the manual on the SDB, when I occasionally use it.

My Lee Challenger Press has gotten pretty loose after 25 years, if I had bought something more substantial back then I would not be in the market for a used RCBS today. The Lee has performed very well for 20 of those years loading thousands of magnum and rifle rounds. Grit and grime seem to wear the aluminum frame around the steel ram.

I started loading on my buddy's Lee Challenger Press in 1991.
When I bought my first press, I got an RCBS Partner Press kit in .223, because I was only loading .223, 7.62x39, and pistol calibers.
It has been a great little press for the 19 years I've had it.
I also have a Lee Classic Cast O-frame press and a Lee Classic Cast Turret Press.
No complaints.

The Partner Press is not the best choice for full length resizing .444 Marlin.
That's a bit of a tough chore with that press.
No problem with either of the Lee Classic Cast or with an RCBS Rock Chucker.
The Rock Chucked is one helluva good press.
