What powders do you have? What caliber?

No sense listing loads for stuff you do not have or can't buy

I have Trail Boss and Bullseye , can buy others :
700X and other Hodgdon products , Red Dot and other Alliant.
If I knew the loads and powders for the 100 grain RNFP I could possibly buy them. With no information whatsoever how I am I to know what to buy, or seek to buy? That's the reason for the post. Not mentioning caliber was my oversight. Caliber 38 special and 357 Magnum.

Here's a link to a 2005 alliant reloading manual, it has 110gr data for the 38spl/357.

That's why I asked what powders you actually HAVE. There are many many powders for 38 special and 357 Mag.

If you can not find data for a 100 gr bullet you can use data for the next higher weight bullet such as 110 gr.

Trail Boss can be calculated using the information found here in the upper written part.

Click on Data and pull down the Trail Boss Reduced load data and follow the instructions.

Hodgdon - The Gun Powder People

I would have to look in my manuals like Lyman CAST to see if they have a 100 gr bullet. That is a odd weight?

Bullseye is a fine powder for the 38 special so you do not need another one. The question is the load for that small bullet. I know what I would use but I am not posting load data. I would not shoot it in 357 Mag.

You can look here and develop your own.

Good luck with the light 100gr bullets.

My 6" 38's will shoot the light bullets of 110 and 125 pretty well
but the heavier bullets seem to settle down better in my guns.

My snub 38 does not like the 110 or 125 Jhp bullets but will shoot the 125gr lead at minimal speeds.
Shove a 135 or 140xtp in the 38 case and it is "Magic".

Just hope the bullet jump from the case to the forcing cone works out for you in the accuracy game with the 100gr bullet.

Lymans CAST manual has data for a 105 gr lead bullet. The COL will be different.

Send me a PM and we can discuss

Thanks for the info, and thanks to "Forestr" for the link to Alliant manual.
I think I'll skip experimenting with oddball bullets and stick to 125-158 grain bullets.
