Default range report first time with reloads

Wow!! What an improvement in accuracy, I thought the gun 40s&w sig p229 was the fault or my eyes for poor accuracy, but now I blow the center of the target out and the ammo is cheaper.
The round that performed the best was a nosler 150 grain sporting hollow point with 7 grains of Winchester autocomp not much recoil and accurate.
I am defiantly glad that I got into reloading, and thanks for the help.

Good job.
I hope you have been warned about the Rabbit Hole you may be heading down.
Reloading can become very addictive, especially for OCD guys like me......

wore safety glasses over my normal glasses that are
made of safety glass (I work in a machine shop),,,, but all went quite well.

I remember my first reloads and that was over 40 years ago. Welcome to a great practice and therapy.

I expect that every one who starts reloading has butterflies the first few times out with their very own ammo. IMO a bit of trepidation and caution are a good thing when taking up an activity like this. So, when you get to be an "old hand" try and maintain that touch of awe at what you are doing and use it to keep you careful.

You will not save one dime by reloading. You just shoot more.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!
Now, take time not only to enjoy the product, but the process.

This is certainly the truth. Due to the high costs I used to shoot perhaps 100 357 Magnums in a year. Today I put 100 357 Magnums downrange without thinking twice about it. Of course it doesn't help a bit that I recently picked up a 1892 Winchester that had been re-barreled in 357 Magnum, good lord it's a fun rifle to shoot.

That's great J01. I have a P229 that I use for testing my handloads too it's a great choice I think. I was surprised at how much more accurate it is with my handloads also. Rolling your own certainly does enhance the pistol shooting experience. I used to do only rifle and shotshell but I found I was really shorting myself by not loading for my handguns. Stay safe.

Those first shots were scary. After I shot about 3 rounds I was thinking, "Hey, this is NEAT." and never looked back. I've only bought commercial ammo on a few special purposes. Man, a box of good stuff is $20-$30 for a little box of 20. That's only THREE six-round cylinders with 2 extras!
