Default muzzle flash with Bullseye

Been loading with Winchester autocomp and switched to Bullseye and noticed quite a bit more muzzle flash with Bullseye.
how are win 231 and Hodgon hp38 with muzzle flash? trying to find those.
More muzzle flash is sort of fun, but sort of distracting

I do not see much flash differrence between Bullseye and W231 but then I only shoot mid range loads with those powders maybe max loads would flash more. If you like a lot of flash try Power Pistol it will give you plenty of flash! Good luck finding any W231 or HP38 that powder is as rare as a brick of .22lr…..

That power is well know as a flasher. It really does not bother me unless dusk is coming on. At that point it gets quite noticeable.

I've been using Titegroup only because it's the only powder I could find. That has a bit of flash. Call me crazy, but I like flash and smoke, and that's why I shoot lead bullets. It's a throw back to black powder days.

A found a local guy with a manufacturers license. He makes race guns mostly, but he's allowed to purchase bulk powder. I think they're 40 lb. kegs. He sold me any amount my own containers would hold. Local pick up only. Price was fair considering the times.

Default Titegroup

Titegroup was one of the powders that showed up here and there during the last two years. I bought a coupla pounds but haven't used it yet. I never thought about Bullseye being 'flashy'. I guess cause I started with it and didn't use anything else for pistols except Unique.

I got 1lb of Titegroup this last July from Cabelas. I had never used it before then. Works well for .45 ACP. I'm sorry that I didn't get 2. Haven't seen any more TG since. Learned my lesson, though. If ya need one... get two. Recently found some Bullseye. Got 2.

I didn't know Bullseye was considered flashy, but I use it for target loads and shoot outside.

I thought that very few canister grade powders for reloaders have flash suppressant added.

Perhaps what you want is Alliant BE-86
Seems to be much like BE but with a flash suppressant added.
Now seeing it showing up in some of my local gun stores.
Alliant Powder - BE-86

Going by the data for 9mm & .45ACP, it's veerry similar to Unique.
