Default Pleased with CFE223 so far

I worked up a load with 223 brass, CCI400 primers, and Sierra 69gr Match Kings using Hogdon data. The top two charges were both under 0.75". The best was 0.675 with three of the five cloverleafed in 0.130". I loaded up 25 each and swapped the 1-6 scope out with a 3-9. Trying them again tomorrow.

I guess I should include the rifle particulars.
AR15. Lattitude Armory SS 18" barrel
.223 Wylde chamber
1:7 twist
Rifle length gas system
Wilson Combat BCG
Geissele S3G trigger group
Primary Arms 1-6 scope.

Chronograph? I just got a jar of this also. I'm waiting for some bullets to show up and will do some testing also.

Sorry, no chrono. It's on my list. Just can't decide which one to pull the trigger on.

I'm still working with CFE223 in my 5.56. It may end up replacing some of my old loads because it seems to be as accurate with more velocity. I can't comment of copper fouling because I have treated the barrels with Dyna-bore coat.

I bought an 8lber a while back. My go to powder is H335 but compared to CFE, the CFE is a bit smokey with 55g if ask me. Other than that the velocity was up there pretty good and it meters well. I have my chrony #s at home and ill post them later.

Has anyone tried a loading for 22-250 and the Hornady 68 Gr. Match bullet with CFE? I'm trying to build a 600 yard round for the 22-250. FYI a friend that has done a lot of .223 loading with CFE mentioned they all were mediocre until he used Mag primers. He mentioned Fed 205's as best.

I like CFE but I think it does better with heavier bullets than 55gr.

I have loaded CFE223 in my 556 with 53gr fmj. They shot moa out of my gun and even better out of my Dads bolt. Did not notice any more smoke than usual.

I made some loads for 308 with CFE and Sierra 168 grain match for one of my old DPD buddies. He said they printed a one hole group at 100 yds with his McMillan.

Shot 50 more rounds today with two different powder charges. Yesterday was dead calm. The wind today was 10-15 coming from 2:00. Groups still hovered around an inch.

CFE223 was my powder choice for my .222's load development.
I started off on the low end with miserable groups thinking it wasn't going to work well. When I got up near max is when it really performed.
