Default 9mm 115gr starting target loads

While I was at it I also loaded up four 115gr plated RN bullets
with a long OAL of 1.14" to see if they would do better than the
factory 1.12" stuff out of my 3.5" barrel.

The "Long" 124gr did really well so I had my fingers crossed.
The fmj RN shape had plenty of bullet down in the case for
support, for me, and I felt ok with the loading.
These loads were at starting points and the CFE and HS were
in the ball park, since Hodgdon it not noted for minimum loads.

My low fps for my 3" was 925fps.......so all worked out ok and
all loads worked the action with no problems.
Just sorry that there were only four X-Lite target loads for you to see.

Ed what was the shooting distance on those groups and was it off a rest. Nice groups any way but really great if it wasn't off a rest and at 50 yds. lol. I am still working on my 9mm loads and 9mm Pro just got distracted shooting the 45 ACP over the new Chrono.

Mag - I'm almost positive the distance was 12 feet. See his other thread in this same forum.

Correct..........

Bifocals, iron sights, a chrony at ten feet and a target past 25 yards is not a good thing for me..................

3 out of 4, maybe.........
4 out of 4........... no way.

I don't want to kill my chrony !!

Now if no fps are needed and just killing paper, it is ok.
Just that am not at that point in testing as yet.

Good day.
