Default Cerakote a K Frame?

Anybody here ever do this before? I have a old police trade-in Mod. 10 heavy barrel with minimum finish. Have a buddy who started Cerakoteing at a LGS. See where I`m going with this?
Looks like it might be worth doing. There are all kinds of colors to pick, but I would stick with something close to a nice blue finish. I`ve checked out some of their semi-autos. Pretty nice looking, although they have never done a revolver before. I would disassemble the piece and give them the parts to do.
What do you all think? Thanks.

OOPS. This was suppose to be in the gunsmithing section. Mods, a little help please? Thanks.

I let a buddy just starting out Duracoating spray my model 15-2... Like a moron. BIG MISTAKE, it looked like it was dipped in black concrete. I ended up getting it media blasted off and did the metal prep work myself then had it reblued.
Just my opinion of course but if it were really pitted, why not I guess.

I had a Pre-27 that I bought Cerakoted, mostly for the stag grips that were on it. I took it out in the woods a few times before I put it on GB.

I wish I'd had not sold it. It was easy to clean and had that feeling that you could really throw it around and abuse it without worrying about the finish.

Paint a revolver? Is that legal?
