Default recent bowling pin loads 41 mag & 10mm

Heavens!!! Have discovered 'magic bowling pin medicine' using 215 LSWC 41 mag/CFE multiple recipes.

Also pleased with 180 RNL 10mm/CFE multiple recipes.

Seems like many accurate combinations for a brace of N-frame S&W 4" revolvers is quite pleasant as well....

small lead pellets moving in the general 1000-1150 fps range moves the pins back a couple feet before they fall over, which is critical to avoid need for follow-up...

I've always used 8.0 grains of Unique with any 210 grain bullet which gets 950+- fps from a 4" barrel... Mild recoil for quick followup shots and plenty of power to move a pin.

Have only just started loading for 10mm this year but for pins would get a 180-200 grain flat point bullet at 1000 fps...

There's such a rich variety of recipes and components, that all get the same thing done....

While I don't use Unique because my powder funnel is not 'accurate' with it from one throw to the next, nearly any caliber I use finds a lead slug moving around 950 fps, are quite effective.

What is hard to believe, is the wide range of subjective nuances in the 155-240 grain boolit weight at any given velocity, all very effective and all still very accurate...potentially.

Good luck.
