I have one and maybe two bullets stuck in the bullet seating die. It or they are stuck pretty good. What's the best way to get them out?

It sounds like a die problem not a press problem? Need more specifics like how did this occur caliber station etc?

It occurred on the downstroke. Instead of seating the bullet it pulled it out. Pretty sure a second bullet is behind the first one.

I makes a difference; what brand of die, as in Dillon or what?

If a Dillon, there should be a small pin that holds the seating stem in place, remove and stem will come out through die mouth. If too large diameter bullet was used it may require effort/force!

If other brand die there are several ways the stem is held in place, most commonly threaded! It could be from above or from mouth of die, and there could be an adapter bushing involved. Pretty much: push everything out the die mouth, and that can be problematic if the threaded stem is very thin!

If all else fails return to die manufacturer's customer service for removal.

Die issue or user error, nothing wrong with your press. The seating stem should be able to push them out, just screw it in all the way or remove it & put a small punch thru the hole & drive them out. You hopefully learned one of the rules of reloading; never force anything. If it feels wrong it probably is wrong.

If shooting cast bullets the lube can build up in the die, you have to keep it clean.

Remove the die from the 550 before attempting to remove the bullet.

Finally knocked it out with a punch. That bullet was stuck! Thanks for the replies

Were there two bullets?

Just one, not room for two. The next stroke before I caught it drove the bullet down into the case on top of the powder. It was the Dillon die. First time after I did this after about 7 or 8 k rounds.
