Default Experience with Sellier & Bellot primers?

Hello. I have been reloading since the late 1970s, but I have been using only CCI, Federal, and Remington primers. I have the opportunity to purchase some S&B primers at a decent price, so I would like to develop a small reserve. However, considering that money isn't exactly flush, I don't want to throw my money away on unreliable primers.

Can anyone share their experience with S&B primers?

I just split a 5K case with a friend for $100 at a gun show. Small pistol primers that work great with no apparent difference in velocity or seating. One case was all the dealer had left.

I've used SP and LP S&B's without problems. Seat much easier than the Russian brands. I've been buying them at $20/1K for quite awhile at local gun shows. Next month hope to buy more.

I'm sold on them. Cabelas has them on sale often and their hazmat fee is a little cheaper than other places. I've run around 5000 large and small pistol I'd guess...not a hiccup reloading or shooting.

Right now they're "on sale" at Cabelas for $21.99 per 1000 but recently they've been as low as $14.99, more typically $19.99. Seem to work just fine and considering in the past 3 year drought I also bought a bunch of CCI at ... well I'll keep my embarrassment to myself
