Coated Bullet Accuracy...
Re-barreled a 1911 and was at the range for "break in" and accuracy testing yesterday.
I had several loads with three different powders (231, VV N320 and Titegroup) as well as three different bullets (Zero 230 gr. FMJ, 230 gr. JHP and 200 gr. H&G knock off from "Blue Bullets").
I was looking for the optimal "accuracy load" from this pistol.
My expectation was the Zero, 230 gr. JHP was going to be the top choice.
I was pretty surprised to find the 200 gr., coated, "Blue Bullet" with Titegroup was the best of the lot.
Shooting from the bench at 50 yds. I had one pulled shot:

Nice job. Seems your barrel fitting is good to go, too.
Not too surprised that a quality H&G SWC (groove-less) copy could prevail.

Posted group was shot with 4.6 gr. Titegroup, once fired Speer brass, CCI LPP, 1.255" COAL and the mentioned 200 gr. H&G 68 coated clone.
The barrel is a Kart, not a "drop in".
I only brought that one target home to photograph.
The other loads shot pretty well, but nothing approaching the one posted.

Nice group and good looking gun. I too shoot BlueBullets. They are very accurate and very clean. There is a sale right now for 15% off if you checkout and use the code bluesthebest All lowercase.
Good luck and good shooting.

Why were my test targets deleted, there wasn't any derogatory, snippy or otherwise comments in that post; nothing but the actual test targets with all load information attached. Please tell me what is offensive about that post and can I repost it since there wasn't any name calling in that post? That's not fair that only certain targets are aloud to be posted, especially one claiming a one hole blind group at 50 yards with a handgun. Mine were legitimate and totally unbiased since the bullet caster is not mentioned and wont ever be. The personal attacks were aimed at me...so you take my posts down?

I like your choice of powders. American Select will fit right in with them. Nice gun.
