I'm going to be reloading some ammo for my .40 shield but having hard time find any data. Maybe you guys have some input

I'm going to use 165 extreme bullets with power pistol powder.

Sorry. I have a strict rule against reloading .40 S&W. Too many have been previously fired through Glocks and other guns with lesser chamber support. Makes for weak and bulging brass.

Alliant website for starters...

Alliant Powder - Reloader's Guide

You should be able to find lots of data in both paper and online manuals. Lots of data out there for 165 gr projectiles.

I have loaded 2,000 rounds for the .40 cal. The problems I had were mostly operator error, (always loaded rimmed shells before), and some "pulled bullets" that I bought that were mostly junk. I just use a mild load that operates the gun properly and safely. Still trying to become proficient with the semi autos in a self defense situation.

The Lyman Reloader's Handbook, 49th edition has lots of information.

I've loaded thousands of rounds of .40 S&W and never had a problem. I'm using Raniers plated 165 gr FP's on top of 5.1gr of Bullseye. I don't recall off hand which manual I got the load data from (may have been Lyman) but the max load for this bullet is 5.4gr, and I think the minimum is 4.7gr.

Good luck!

Sorry, I though the OP was using Bullseye. I do use PP for my .9mm loads, love it. Nice, snappy, accurate load.
