Default Odd Headstamp

Picked up some brass at the range, yesterday. They had a headstamp I had not seen before. Turns out, these are indeed .380 Auto cases from Sellier & Bellot (S&B); a Czech company. Seems some European countries refer to .380 Auto as 9mm Br. C. First time I have seen this. By all accounts these are perfectly good cases for reloading.
Normal .380 Auto on left. S&B on the right.

Magtech made in Brazil. Parent company is CBC . . . they also own S&B, by the way.

Whoops . . . missed the point entirely, didn't I. Yes, Europeans refer to the .380 as 9mm Browning Court (short).

S&B is very good brass. The only complaint is they seem to have a little tighter primer pocket than other makers. You should notice it takes a little more effort to seat primers in S&B brass.

Also, Herter's brand (Owned by Cabela's now) is often made by S&B. Especially handgun calibers with brass cases.

9mm Browning Court, 9mm Browning Corto, 9mm Browning Kurz - all are the same, .380. S&B has been making metallic cartridges ever since there were metallic cartridges. And the S&B primer pockets always seem to be a little tight.

I've found a few of those BCs in my pickups. Had me puzzled at first...

I have scrunched quite a few primers when seating in S&B brass. It seems the primer pocket is straight up to the edge, with no bevel on the edge, and if your new primer isn't "exactly" lined up straight it just may not want to go in.
