Summers Enterprises Lead Bullets
I'm curious if anyone has tried their bullets and have an feedback? Price seems to be the lowest I can find and would allow me to shoot a bit more. Thanks!

I think they are great and the price is surprisingly low. They shipped fast and I got good advice on seating depth. I just started loading these one month ago. So far I've only purchased the 233gr RN .45's and the 125gr RN 9mm. They load easy and shoot well from 5 to 25 yards.
Also, I found 30+ other positive comments about these bullets in this forum.

I've placed a few orders from him over the past year and a half. Mostly .45 200 gr SWC but also some 125 & 145gr 9mm. The prices, quality and service can't be beat. If you have any questions just send Donny an email and he'll get right back to you.

Donny's bullets are VERY popular here in Montana with the SASS, IDPA. USPSA crowds.
I quit casting and use his bullets instead. They are THAT good of a deal!!

I have been using their projectiles in every caliber. Cheap and accurate. Just very smoky from the lube they use. After shooting an entire clip of 18 from my 9mm the indoor range is completely full of smoke. But it clears fast, great if you shoot outside or don't mind the smoke.

I am shooting the 9mm 145 gr from Summers Enterprises with 3gr of Titegroup. It doesn't say on his site, but I think the bullets are lead round nose "LRN"? I think my next order will be with hi-tek to maybe reduce the smoke? Looking at several books, I can't find many loads for LRN. And the ones I find are for 147 gr. Will the 2 gr difference be a problem? I have seen many times posts from others to use only published data and I am hesitant to experiment. I am just looking for a load that is safe for range use and light enough for my wife to shoot as well. Maybe a different powder? I just started reloading this year and want to be cautious. Still lot to learn. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I have been buying 9mm, 38spec, 45acp from Donny at Summers for a couple years now. Very good bullets, fast shipping and he's very knowledgeable, nice guy to deal with also. Good prices on top of that. Tell him Joe in Pensacola said hi.

I've been using the Summers Enterprises 240gr 44 caliber LSWC in all my 44magnum and 44spl loadings from a long while,now I ordered some HY-TEK 44cal 240gr and 2 types of HY-TEK 38cal.
I try to fill a Medium Flat Rate Box each time I order.

Shipping charge?
The bullet prices look good. Does anyone know how what the shipping charges are?

My last order of 2000 240gr .430" 44 caliber SWC lead bullets cost $140.00 + $14 shipping for the USPS medium flat rate box.
New order:
1000 HY-Tek 240gr 44 caliber $84.00
500 Hy-Tek 38 caliber 148gr 358" DE Wadcuters $32.00
500 Hy-TEK 38caliber 158gr .358" RNFP $33.00
Shipping USPS Medium Flat Rate Box = $14.00
If you don't fill the Medium Flat Rate Box you still will be charged $14.00
The mailman leaves the very heavy box outside my garage door where I asked him to leave it.I then scoop it up with my little folding hand truck and take it to my loading bench where I slice it open through all the Priority Mail tape and put the 500 rd boxes that are also wrapped with a lot of Priority Mail tape on the heavy duty shelving.

What they said. One box of 500 rounds is $14.00, 4 boxes of 500 rounds each or 2000 rounds is still $14.00. I just ordered 1500 rounds of 38sp. and 500 rounds of 45acp. $14.00 shipping, and he ships super fast.

Thanks,
That answers my questions. My supplier charges less for shipping but his bullet prices are enough higher that I would be saving money even if I only bought 500 bullets.
