I just picked up a S&W Model 16-4 and intend to start loading for it. While I can find plenty of info on bullet weights and powder charges, I've yet to find any source that tells me what bullet diameter the average model 16-4 prefers.
I do not have a bore slug kit, so I'm asking. I can probably say that this gun will do duty against both paper targets and small to medium small game as big as groundhogs or fox. I'm just going to stick with lead semi-wad cutters as I see no need for anything else and besides they are easy on the gun, the wallet and fox fur.
32 caliber lead bullets can be had from .311 to .314 diameter. Anyone with experience out there that can make a recommendation for the S&W model 16-4?
