Thumler's Tumbler #10 cartridge cleaner your experience with it
I have been researching and reading the reviews of
Thumler's Tumbler Ultra Vibe 10 Tumbler.
There are a lot of very positive reviews (reliable and quiet), but
I thought I would seek out the experiences of the Reloading
Enthusiast's here.
Cabela's has the must reasonable price that I have seen.
The reason I looking for a new tumbler is that my current one
just gave out after 15 years.
So what do you say? Thank you in advance for you relpies.

I found my Thumblers Tumbler noisy to the point of being irritating but that was years ago and using Walnut media. If my trusty Dillon ever goes south I would get another waterproof Thumbler and use the stainless needle media to wet tumble since everything I have found indicates that this is by far the best method to clean both the exterior and the interior of brass cartridge cases. The Vibe 10 is probably the best made, quietest Tumbler made. I have had mine for years. It is 100% made in the USA, How some can say it is loud is beyond me.
The rotatory tumblers perhaps are loud (I don't know) but the Vibe 10 compared to say my Lyman Turbo is so much quieter. True it is a smaller capacity but still is is a great unit.
I guess 4.9 rating out of 5 for 67 reviews says something!

I've been using my Vibe 10 for 3 years after killing 2 Harbor Freight and 3 blue MidwayUSA tumblers. I have no complaints.

I had a size 18 back in the mid 80's. I would run it 24 hours a day for weeks at a time getting ready for large batches of reloading (10,000 9x19 sized batches, doing 500-600 at a time) Load the tumbler; go to work, come home; change, before bed; change , get up; change- you get the idea. That unit lasted for over 6 years of that hard use. I had several others-Lyman, Frankfort, & RCBS, but none lasted more than 2 years and were smaller and louder.
I wish I still had the dead body as Thumbler's now sells replacement motors. Thumblers motor is about 3 times the size of everyone else's, They use a cheap bath fan motor!
I gave my B-I-L my last RCBS when I went to the Thumbler's rotary and stainless steel pins. I can clean decade old black powder stains off the inside and out in about 3.5 hours, but only does a few pounds of brass at a time!

I still have 2 Ultravibe 18s from the 80's both still going strong. It's good to hear that motors are available, if needed.

I bought a Lortone tumbler back in 1983 and it is still going strong and I have never had to do anything to it, other than plug it in and occasionally change the media. That's 33 years and it is a standard tumbler type. It makes very little noise and it can be left running for days.

I have to get one, for sure. I have had 3 "other brand" tumblers and each failed within a year.

I've had a UV18 for more than 30yrs now. It runs 3-4hrs every week. I inherited another one, thought I would keep it in case the one I have gave out, but that may never happen.

Thumler's Tumbler #10
Thank you all for your replies. I'm going to wait until Cabela's
has a coupon that is worth a hoot, then order the
Thumler's Tumbler #10 from them.
I currently have a 10% off coupon, but it is only good for in
store purchases.
Thank you all again. I will have to make it a point to update
you with a Field report when I get the #10.

Well it came two days ago and I have been polishing brass with the included walnut shell media and like the results. It is not very loud at all.
They have engineered rubber washers into all spacers which helped cut down the vibration noise.
I like it!
I had a Lyman which I gave away as it was too loud and poorly engineered in my opinion.

Thumler's Tumbler #10
moosedog - thanks for the Field report!
Walnut is all I have ever used. I like the finish
it gives the brass. I also dribble some Nu Finish
in once in a while.
I'm just waiting for a good coupon. I'm in no hurry.
I'm good on clean brass for now.
Thank you
