After shooting 300+ rounds of factory rounds of mostly Hornady 110 I started putting together dies and materials to reload on a Dillon 550. All was going good until I discovered that most of my brass had small primers except Remington. It had a large primer. Darn. I must add that the Hornady shot less than an inch at a 100 yards through my Ambush AR15 and the Remington shot over 4". Probably nothing to do with the large primer. Next week I will take some samples to the range to test out. The Remington brass will be sorted out and put on the shelf for something? Just can't through gun stuff away..

Part of the learning curve.....now you know. Never throw anything away when it comes to brass, unless it is simply beyond usee ( then I throw it in the scrap barrel)You may have a use for it in the future, or trade or sell it to someone who can use it. If it was mine, I would prime by hand, then load it on the Dillon, slower yes, but can still use it and shoot it. Fortunately, you do not have that much of it to contend with. Enjoy your 6.8 spc.

I've been loading for the 6.8 for several years. My preferred brass has been Silver State. I admit to losing interest in hunting, so I haven't shot or loaded for it in quite some time.

The 6.8 is a fine performer, and quite easy to load. H322 has been excellent in this round.

This fine efficient little cartridge has been the victim of terrible marketing, early limiting design decisions (later corrected with slower rate of twist and spec II chambers) and poor product support.

If not for the odd sized .30 Rem size bolt face likely preventing more interest by manufacturers, I believe a CZ 527 or other smaller carbine turnbolt would be very desirable.

I'm ty new to the 6.8, but a great shooter in the ar platform. I spent a good bit of time over on the 6.8 forum reading. Best brass seems to be s&b & its cheap in the firm of factory ammo. Hornady brass next, all small rifle primers.
Ive been loading on a ss press but just got the setup for me 550. Been using lee die set but just got a redding set to try. Pretty easy to get 1moa ammo with the hornady 110gr fmj. I am developing a hunting load with 95gr x, also 1moa.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Been shooting and loading the 6.8 spec since it's debut. You will like the 550 and the Redding dies also....all good. I live in a rural area and the 6.8 in the AR has accounted for a bunch of coyotes here. I have also hunted hogs with it in Texas, and it performed well there also.

I wanted a hog rifle, the 6.8 seemed to fit the bill. It smacks the snot out of the steel plates at 300.

I put together a 6.8 SPC shortly after it first came out because I needed a relatively light recoiling deer rifle after my first back surgery. I've found that the 95gr TTSX over RL-10x to be a perfect combination for anything I wish to hunt with a 6.8. I bought 1K SSA brass when I first started loading for the 6.8, so I figure I'm good for the current barrel and one replacement.

Although 6.8forums.com has good information, I'm leary about some of the reloading data they have on the site. I find some of it frankly frightening. Like anything else, verify with another source and start low.
