Bought 8 lbs. of 2400
I ran across one 8 pound jug of 2400 at a Dallas gun show last weekend and split it with a fellow member here. We have been looking for some for quite a while along with everyone else. Maybe people will start seeing it around the country now.

I bought a couple pounds yesterday as well. First I've seen in 6 months. I asked about it at one of my Lgs' a while back and the guy told me that they quit making it and to buy a different powder .
Where I bought it yesterday, the owner said that Alliant was very slow at making certain powders and getting them distributed, 2400 being one of them.

Haven't seen any big bottles of 2400 around here. Cabela's has some 1lb bottles last month when I was there. I gave up using 2400 because I'm tired of trying to find it. I'm using either W296 or HS-6 in my magnum loads now.

2400 is easy to find around Richmond, Va. I bought some last week at a large gun shop and saw it in stock Monday at Cabela's.

I went by the only local LGS I know that handles any amount of reloading supplies last Monday and their Alliant selection was purely pitiful. All they had was some Reloder 33 and 50 and that was it! Their selection of other powders wasn't too spiffy either. I guess that is why I mostly buy my powder from online sources, as it's and exercise in frustration to make a 60 mile round trip for such poor selection.

Sorry you fellows are having trouble finding what you need. Here in central Virginia most, if not all, of the Alliant powders are readily available. The supply situation is much improved over what it was two or three years ago.
Maybe it's because Alliant is located only a couple of hundred miles away in southwestern Virginia. Hope the supply situation improves for you guys soon.

I picked up 5 lbs of Unique last week. 21 per too. At the gun show last weekend I got 7000 primers and a load of bullets cheep. In the LGSs around here SPPs are hard to find. What gives with that?? Only SPP I have seen lately was at Cabelas's the other day. S&B primers for 25 bucks.

I've been working on an 8 pounder of 2400 for a year or so. I don't buy anything but 8 pounders anymore. 8 pounds of AR Comp was my last purchase. I only use 3 powders so I can standardize my loads. I hate shopping.

I think I know where their plant is. My mom used to live in Dublin VA. Right down the road.
