Xtreme Bullet Ordering + Unhappy
On December 1st the Daily Deal was the usual 5% off so I ordered the 500 124gr FMJ 9mm.
Since it was my 1st order with the company I got FREE shipping.
Seventeen days have passed and my order has still not shipped.
Xtreme stated in emails they are having delays shipping but I think 17 days is a bit too much.
Anyone else experiencing this kind of excessive delay getting their order shipped?

I've ordered from Xtreme a few times, never had a problem. They might be overwhelmed by holiday orders (or employees are calling in sick to extend their Christmas vacations. ) I don't get very worried over shipping delays this time of year.

FWIW, they just had their black Friday sale that was extended through the whole weekend IIRC. 20% off plus free shipping (again IIRC).
On the website they stated to expect 7-10 days shipping delay - and of course that is 7-10 BUSINESS days - and that is for the order to SHIP - not to arrive. If the sale generated significantly more orders than they expected, then I would expect that the shipping delay would be even longer.
10 business days from December 1st would have been Thursday.
So depending on which of their warehouses they shipped from - either ID or NV (again, IIRC), even if they had shipped Thursday, they wouldn't show up until sometime between Monday and Wednesday next week (2 - 3 business days to TX).
Of course with all the snow delays and Christmas merchandise being shipped, even that could be slightly delayed. I was reading the other day that so far this Christmas Season UPS deliveries are 97% on time. Considering the sheer volume of deliveries and the weather that we've been having across the country, I find that pretty incredible.
So, all things considered, in your shoes I wouldn't be getting too ticked off just yet. But then I try not to sweat the small stuff. There are more than enough of big issues in my life to get worked up about...

Never order on Holidays..........
mostly heavy traffic months like Christmas.
I like Xtreme but there is always Berry's in the local stores, if
I get into a bind, or others.

December 1st should have been before the Christmas rush and far enough after Blk Friday.
9mm was the only caliber I shoot regularly that I didn't reload due to cheap ammo prices.
Yes,I like Berry's but only when there's a really good sale do I stock up.I also buy a lot of Hornady and Speer swagged bullets.
A few days ago I ordered a few boxes of Speer Gold Dot 135gr 38+P 53921 before sold out.
I wanted to get a lot of reloading done during the long holiday and cooler weather.

Like the last couple of years I ordered on their black friday sale (that ran the whole weekend) for the 15% off plus free shipping. I ordered Friday around 6:30 am and got a shipping notice Monday. Didn't ship for a few more days but my 75+ pounds of bullets showed up the following week. Well worth the wait for that kind of discount. I would guess orders entered later took longer to ship. I'm sure they get swamped with orders this time of year. I mean, doesn't everybody get bullets for Christmas?

I ordered 500 on that Sunday at the end of Black Friday weekend and received them on the following Thursday, 4 days. Guess I got lucky.
I have never waited more than a week for an order.

I order from them regularly. At times when they run their normal deals, things like 5% off or free shipping, they normally ship in a couple of days, and it takes an additional week for it to get to me in South Carolina. I ordered earlier this year when they had their 25% off sale. It took quite a bit longer. I don't remember exactly how long, but more than a couple weeks. I did get my order, and a great deal. I do understand that if I order from them on one of their big sales, it will take a while. Normal times it will still take a minimum of a week and a half to two weeks, mostly due to shipping to the east coast. I plan accordingly. I can get bullets from others faster, but I can't get quality plated cheaper IME.
I love their 158 gr heavy plated HPs for my .357 lever rifle. I can push them to 1500 fps, they are clean, they are accurate, and they look terrific. I have yet to find a coated bullet that works as well, and can get the Xtremes at roughly the same price as coated.
If slow order fulfillment is a problem for you, then I would either order at times when they don't have big sales, or order from another company. You will probably pay more, but will get them faster.
I believe you will be happy with the bullets when you get them. I know I have been very happy with everything I have gotten from them. I can't recall a single cull from the thousands I have loaded. Weights, sizes and cosmetics have all been up to expectations.
The only down side is the lack of plated data out there. That is true for all plated bullets. I just use a powder that has significant overlap between lead and jacketed, and use higher end lead data. That has worked well for me.

Well, there you go. Ordered 11/24-11/26 received 12/14 - twelve to fourteen business days delivery time.
Assuming the same for Stakeout, they should arrive between Tuesday the 20th and Thursday the 22nd.
BTW, ordering on the 1st may have got you past the rush of people PLACING orders, but it put you right in the middle of the rush for Xtreme to SHIP all those orders.
Just an observation...

Shipping this time of year is always terrible. I live in a small town and much of our Christmas presents are purchased online, so the mail, Fed-Ex and UPS are swamped. The UPS comes to our neighborhood 2 times per day and sometimes the USPS delivers packages on Sunday...

Start casting your bullets that way the only delay will fall on you. Besides I see no reason for me not to shoot cast.

Just received mine yesterday, took nearly a month but then again it is a holiday and at that price and free shipping I can't complain. Seems like it always takes a while for them to get here but I always order way in advance of running low so slow shipping isn't a problem here. Quality is always top notch also.

Xtreme Bullet Sale
Like most of the members I am still waiting for my Xtreme order. I ordered on 28 November and have not received the bullets yet. However, I used the 15% off, free shipping, and an additional 10% off by using a promotional code (CodeBlue I think) for a total of 25% off and free shipping. It is worth the wait.

I think its because we all slammed them at the same time when they had their 15% + free shipping. I dont really care if takes them a month to get mine shipped. I seem to hoard at minimun a yeat supply at my current rate of comsumption.

I didn't order this year, since I stocked up last year, LOL. I don't place an order when I'm "out" of something, I order before I actually "need" them. And when I order during a sale or holiday event, I expect it to take a little longer than usual. I use Xtreme Bullets almost exclusively now and am very happy with them. They are always running specials or Deal of the Day promotions, I just order and then wait till they get here-simple as that. I get my orders in 2-3 days on a regular basis, I don't stress when it takes longer, especially around holidays or big promotions :-)

Sounds to me that the ammo isn't in stock or it's run out of someone's garage. That's way to long for shipping at any price or at any time of the year. I've started ordering my ammo from Academy Sports and Outdoors when it's on sale. They have very competitive prices when you consider it's FREE SHIPPING. They ship within two days and get it on the second day after that. So four business days is great.

A bullet mould solves that problem. A few items from Lee Precision lets you become the master of your bullet supply !

I imagine California has lot to do with the slow delivery. We have new ammo registration requirements coming up and everyone I know is stocking up big time. I bought about a 10-year supply of reloading components in the past two months. Our poor UPS guy says he has never moved so many ammo/component shipments in his career.

There have been a few times I have let my stocks of bullets get dangerously low. I have since learned from the experience and keep enough to fill the supply line for at least a year. In the last great component shortage, bullets were the only real bright spot. I suspect that many now have ample supplies of powder and primers and are now looking at bulk buys of bullets. This is probably why XTREME is slow shipping. But we all like to see rows of boxes of bullets on our shelves, I'm no exception.
I use a bunch of XTREMES and buy direct and sometimes they are a bit slow to deliver but as others have said I generally wait for one of their special before ordering so I expect it. But if I were only planning on buying 500 bullets I just go to a LGS that stocks them. It's different when your buying 5000 bullets.

One more for the "be patient." I have purchased from Xtreme for years, good bullets and good price. Ordering bullets from the manufacturer is different than ordering from Midway (for example).
Build an inventory, order when on sale, life is good.
In the past I've almost run out, had to call around to find a box, and asked for the store to put my name on it... "I'll be right down to pick it up." Whew...
Building an inventory is more pleasant.

I ordered some 45ACP and 44Mag bullets from Xtreme on Black Friday. I don't recall the exact date I received them however it was worth the wait - very fine looking bullets. It did take longer than normal due to the holidays and I'm certain the flood of orders they received related to their discount. I have routinely used Berry's bullets however I believe Xtreme bullets will be a good alternative.

I ordered 4000 bullets over Black Friday, 4 different calibers. They came in 4 different shipments, with the last 1000 45's, 230 gr this last Monday. I know in advance the shipping times will be long during their big sales, no big deal for me. I'm usually buying before they are needed, so shipping delays are not an issue

So when I placed my order for the advertised discount of 15%, I was unaware of an extra promotional code. Can I assume code blue was directed to our LEO's? My wife is a retired LEO, how does one become aware of an extra promotional code? Thanks in advance!

A little over a year and a half from the last post on this thread and XTreme Bullets is still having shipping issues. I placed an order two weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped.
Why?
Well it seems XTreme is having some Chapter 11 difficulties. It would've been nice to have mentioned that on their web page or during the checkout process that while shipping may not happen for a few weeks, or longer, your credit card will be promptly processed.
The only plated/jacketed bullet I reload is 9mm--I cast and Hi-Tek coat all other calibers. So the one time I try a (new to me) company and this is what happens. . . .
Kinda reminds me of the old GunPal, aka Gpal nonsense that occurred a decade ago.
