Default 400 gn Cast GC

I got some 400 gn cast GC for my 454 and 460. Im having a difficult time finding loading data for this bullet weight. I have H110, 2400 and some Universal Clays. Id like to get around 1200fps out of the 6 1/2" 454. Any help would ba appreciated. thanx Steve

Here you go... 395gr FN-GC, close enough?

I don't load for that caliber, but it seems to me that the velocity range you want to achieve with that heavy of a bullet out of a 6" barrel is going to be right up there in required chamber pressure. Do you really have the need to punish yourself and your handgun to that degree? Just my idle thought.

And with that in mind I would suggest using IMR 4227 as the powder.
Very easy to work with, very accurate. and fairly bulky.
My favorite powder in the .445 with heavy bullets.
Not going to get the velocity you get with H110 but you do get peace of mind, accuracy, and predictable results.
I doubt you can go over pressure with 4227 given the size of that bullet and the specs of the X frames.
I can barely get to 50K PSI in QuickLOAD using 101% density.
