I've bought these: 9mm 124 grain FMJ Bulk Reloading Bullets
Works out to $40 per 500 and they have free shipping. Used a bunch of them and they are very good. Actually bought a lot of bullets from Everglades and always been happy with them.

I've had good service with Berrys 9mm - Berry's Manufacturing
Sometimes 'cosmetic 2nds' are available for discount.
Also Montana Gold in 3000 piece lots can be decent price.

The coated bullets from Missouri or Bayou is a great, cheap alternative to lead. I have just switched to them for 38/357.

ACME bullets or Blue Bullets ($58 for 750 free shipping). Both are coated and shoot great. few bucks cheaper than plated too.

Xtreme plated--wait for a 10% off sale, stack it with a Deal of the Day on a 9mm bullet, add a coupon code, and the price works out to $34-$36/500.

Geeze those are some great prices along with free shipping. The shipping is often the deal breaker from what I have seen.

Another +1 for RMR Bullets. Their plated 115gr hard core match bullets are a great price & very accurate. Sign up for their email list and get notifications on sales & new inventory.

I bought the 124gr FMJ from Xtreme Bullets when they were the deal of the day @ $43/500.It was my 1st order from them so I also got FREE shipping.
I load them over 3.6gr of Titegroup for punching holes in paper.
The quality control of these bullets is not up that of their plated bullets

For inexpensive practice I would go with coated bullets.
Missouri Bullet Company
If you want FMJ bullets for matches RMR is a great place to buy.

BiMart had special sale a few weeks ago on Blazer brass 115 fmj for $9.89/50. Sale is over now but that was as decent a deal on factory loaded that I've seen lately.

Some companies like Bayou ship USPS flat rate shipping for $15.00 anything under 70 pounds. They (Bayou) have a case quantity that is just under 70# for each bullet they offer. So for example 135g 9mm coated a case is 3300 bullets. For small quantities (500 pcs?) the shipping is I think $7.50
I know that if you are careful you can always find slightly better deals than average but personally I think consistency is worth a few bucks when you compete in matches. So my advice is pick on of the many suggestions given above, try some of their bullets and if they do what you want then stock up several years worth. My opinion is that coated is slightly more accurate than plated and a bit less expensive but others may disagree.

If you're OK with bare lead, Summer Enterprises has the best price I've found.
125gr RN are $41.80 for a box of 950, and they'll ship 1-4 boxes for a flat rate of $14
So buying 4 boxes that's 3800 of them for $181.20 shipped - just under 4.7 cents each.

If you want real FMJ-check out Precision Delta-The 124 JHP are 89.00 per K delivered, when purchased in lots of 2k or more.
If you want coated bullets-SNS make coated bullets and offer great case prices.
Let the other guys buy the plated stuff. Plated rounds provide neither the accuracy of FMJ or savings of coated lead.

I picked up two $50.00 gift certificates for Xtreme Bullets off prize tables last year. When they had they're Black Friday sale last year, I ordered 4K. With the sale + free shipping + the gift certificates, worked out to be just over .06 cents a piece!
Add powder and primer, my match ammo's costing me just under .09 a round this year!
