Default Like a kid on Christmas Eve!

So excited!Just ordered a Magma Master Caster. At 62,I figured that:
A)since I must begin to thing about taking it easy on that wonderful but a little used up body of mine

B)Retired;it means I shoot more than before so I need more bullets

C)little wife wants to keep the affirmation in A intact, she didn't use her right of veto(even though she'd have written article A a little differently)

Like I said,I feel like when I was 4 or 5 and waiting for Santa to bring that package home.Anybody else is waiting for Santa these days?If so,what for?

Sounds like fun. I'm dabbling a little in casting, but have zero information to add. I know too little of anything to be of value. However, the big brown truck will be bringing my two sons 4 different boxes of 20ga turkey loads, a Patternmaster 20ga Remington choke, and Dad a new camo vest. All three of us are giddy, Momma, not so much. And to add on, we are headed three hours South tomorrow for the National Wild Turkey Federation annual conference with disposable income, I.e call and decoy money! Have fun casting, it's nice putting that final touch on your own hand loads.

Funny how we never outgrow that childish anticipation felt when waiting by the mailbox. One memory specifically comes to mind when as a 9 yr old, I had ordered a Tackle Grab bag from the back pages of Outdoor Life magazine. For days I ran out to check the mail right after school. Finally, one day as I opened to mailbox door, I was greeted by the overwhelming scent of Blackberry scented rubber worms. I'll never forget that smell.Life was good.
It still is. Hardly a week goes buy where I don't have some small something coming in off of Ebay/Amazon/Netcraft/Midway..... Enough to put me on a first name basis with the mail lady anyway . She brought me a nice new fly tying vice today. :-)
Great thread!

Many many years ago before I was 21(way before)...I ordered a surplus 1911 from Klein's Sporting Goods in Chicago. Avertised in Field and Stream magazine. I had to lie just a bit on paperwork..Cost about 30 bucks delivered..Anticipation and trepidation..but it surely did show up. Only thing was I couldn't afford ammo for more'n a month. I can honestly say it was not the most accurate 45 auto I ever shot. It was found by my mother within 3 months and she made me get rid of it. I made a 5 dollar profit cept for the ammo I shot up. Different times for sure.
