Zero 147 gn JHP
Hi - I'm the newby here and relatively new to reloading.
None of my data books, Lyman, sierra or Speer show recipes for this bullet. Would appreciate any help.

Look in your books and find a load for another brand 147 grain bullet and work a load up, starting with the lowest starting load. That would be the safe way to find what that bullet likes.

3.6 grns. WW231 (HP38) is my favorite GSSF Load. About 875 FPS from a Glock M-17. I also agree with PPCSHOOTER's load of 4.0 grns. WSF, which gives about the same velocity as my WW231 load. Excellent paper punching and steel ringing loads. I should have used all the money that I've spent on CFE-Pistol and Auto Comp to buy more 231 or WSF.

CFE Pistol worked with a 147gt jacket at 725 and 812fps in my pistol.........
as well as six other powders with the heavy weight.
