Default Federal SP Primers

Finally, after a long period of not finding any Federal Small Pistol Primers locally or at shows,I spotted some today at the pricey Field and Stream that opened a few weeks ago.

There's been no trouble finding Federal LP primers.Cabelas always has them.

The shelf price was $44.99/1000 but was knocked down at the register to $34.99 with a $10 off coupon on purchase of $25 or more except ammo and guns.

The wife and I each had a coupon so we each walked out with 1000.

There's 2 more coupons in the house that expire next week.

Those look like match primers. I still see them occasionally on line. I haven't seen std Fed SP in over 3yrs.

They've been all around here for the past few years--basically since I started loading. They got a little tough to find, and I tried some CCI in my K-38 (not intentionally trying CCIs, they were just there). Kinda hit-and-miss on DA ignition, and I really didn't want to mess with the gun.

So I kept my eye out, and the next time I was at the local reloading shop, the guy had two bricks of Federal SPP. I took 'em both.

Never had a gun that cared what primer was used in it. They all worked fine.
