Loaded Some .45's Yesterday
Got really bored and got the Dillon back to work. I loaded 200 rounds of 225 gr lead RN over 5.0 of 231. First reloading I have done since September. All of my 45 boxes are full or I would do some more.

Well you could go back to a single stage press and slow things down a bit
Have fun emptying them all!

Seeing as how that was only 15 minutes of work, I really think you ought to get some more ammo boxes

Or a Classic Lee Loader , (you know, the whack-a-mole) and really extend your fun time .
Remember how long it took to complete 2 -50 round boxes of ammo , then a range trip and they were gone in no time.

I recently bought one of these at a gun show, I think new old stock, in the cardboard box. More out of curiosity, didn't really need it since I have a Dillon 550B. I loaded some with it (357), and I kind of like it. If you get a rhythm going it's not as slow as you think.

45 loading
That is my favorite load ( 5.0 HP38) for 45acp with the Sierra 200gr match TC bullet. My model 25-2 seems to prefer a little hotter load in 45AR.

I started reloading over 40 years ago with a Lee Loader. I must have loaded thousands of 38's with that and a plastic hammer. I moved up to a RCBS Jr after a few years and it is still mounted next to the Dillon. Several years ago I bought some duplicate dies to get back to the single stage. After a short while, I remembered why I got the Dillon.

I remember back in the stone age when I used to use my RCBS single stage, I thought I was doing a bang up job making 100 rounds in just about an hour. Now with my Dillon XL 650 it takes no time at all to produce the same amount. I will admit, yesterday neither of my Dillons were set up for .45 auto and I knocked off 50 rounds in about 40 minutes on my RCBS, I think with the caliber conversion, and prep I would have had to do on the XL650 I probably broke even on the time. Plus it was fun to go "old school".
