Did some shooting with IMR 4451 yesterday. Loading 55 grains behind a 130 Nosler ballistic tip in the .270, velocity was on par with the 55 grain load of IMR 4350. Found the ballistic tips seem to like it right at the 3000 fps mark in my rifle seated about .118 off the lands.
Accuracy was good, pretty much on par with with the 4350 loads.
Did notice there seemed to be substantially more carbon fouling with the 4451 than with either 4350 or Reloader 16. Easily took three times as many cleaning patches and passes through the barrel to get the same degree of clean as with the same number of rounds fired with the other powders.
