Went to test some 125g, 9mm HAP's yesterday and one of my loads was Titegroup at 2.9 and 3.1 at 1.080 COL. The data I used came from Hodgdon which list's this exact bullet in a load range of 2.8 to 3.2 at the test COL of 1.069.
Shot the first round of 5 with the 2.9 load, with a G19, and the casings landed about a foot from he gun on the bench. Went to the 3.1 load and was better but not near the ejection distance as a typical factory or other hand loads. Shot the second round of 2.9g and had one that didn't even cycle the slide. Of course VERY soft shooters and actually pretty accurate (only shooting at 10 yards though) but too light for reliable function.
Question is would the extra COL of + .011 make that much difference in the pressure of the load? I am going to try Titegroup again with a bit more powder. The 3.1 wasn't bad but I feel I could go up to 3.3 without any issues or should I shorten the COL to their 1.069.
