Bought some the other day. Got 3000 LP and 2000 SR. 19.99 and I had a 20 dollar discount card so they ended up at 15.99 per M..yee haw. At the gun show the other day I got an unopened pound of Unique for a dollar..so I'll be loading some 44 sp with some of those primers and the powder. Those primers seem to be just fine for most of my loading. At the show I also got 2000 Remington #1 1/2 SP primers for 25 dollars for both. I'm good on primers for a while

There was one guy selling fresh Winchester LP and SP primers at the last gun show for $28/carton including sales tax. The cheapest I have seen in awhile. Most everyone else was asking $35. Maybe the price will eventually get back to around $15 where it should be.

Those are good primers. I've been using them lately with good results.
Glad to see prices coming back down. I doubt they will ever be $7.00/1000 like in the 70s, but still.....

That'll never happen with main line primers. The old retail is the new wholesale it seems..especially on 22 ammo. I did see some the other day selling at slightly over 5 cents a round. There is someone at the gun shows in Montana selling Win primers for 26.95M.
I was looking around here and when 22 ammo was so expensive and hard to find I kept my eyes peeled for a good deal(at the time). Luckily I didn't find much. Digging through the garage and the vault downstairs I have found just shy of 20M rounds...and 4M 22 mags. I think I don't need any more. As far as primers the only ones I am under 5m on is large rifle.. so am probably good to go.

I've been using the S&B primers every since they showed up at our nearest Cabela's about 4 years ago. Not one problem yet. They are typically about $25 compared to the Winchesters at $35 or more. If I see them at $20 bucks I'll buy more, but I'm in pretty good shape on everything but LR Magnums, and I don't think S&B makes those.

I'll have to check them out the next time I'm in Cabelas.

I got some from them a while back when they were all 17.99. Even with hazmat it was a deal. I think they're gouging a little on small pistol primers-clearly their biggest seller. Wonder how hard their small rifle primers are? I used other brands a bunch for pistol during The Great Shortage with no issues.

Yeah I got some then too but had another 20 dollar off card so no hazmat fee and a 5 dollar shipping fee. Got 50M and they shorted me on SPPs and sent 4M SRPs in their place. They made the order good when I called. I offered to take the 4 SRPs back and they told me to just keep them. Don't know why SPPs are harder to find right now...but they are locally. I tried the LRPs in the 22-250 and they were essentially the same on velocities as CCI for me.... YMMV... I don't load them hot either

The S&B Primers are on sale again $19.99/1000
I've shot over 5000 of S&B pistol primers in my S&W revolvers and they all went bang.

S&P Primers are fine for me. They are normally cheaper & work OK. I scored 2 boxes of Winchester small pistol primers a couple weeks back at $15 each, from a private seller. Can't normally beat that! Bob

Thanks for posting this StakeOut. I picked up another 3k of LP primers at Cabelas today.
I've got lots of powder too, so I just need to pick up about another 10K bullets and I'll be all set for loading the next 25k rounds

I've been buying hard cast bullets from Summers Enterprises Bullets at what I consider very good prices.
I just placed an order for 2000 240gr 44 caliber @ $35/500 plus $14 for USPS flat rate medium box.It comes out to $0.077 per bullet.

You betcha. I've posted about their product on here two or three times too. Best prices I've found on hard cast lead. The only thing about them is that the selection is limited. The 240gr LSWC is the only 44 cal they offer. The next best price I have seen is bulletsdirect.com and they have a little better variety. With shipping 2000 of their 200gr LRN are 8.1 cents apiece and 2000 of their 225gr LRN are 8.7 cents each.
But even at their prices, 10k bullets is going to set me back a pretty penny.
I just did an inventory and I've got around 38 pounds of various powders, 15k of small pistol primers and almost 11k of large pistol primers, Unfortunately I only have 7k worth of 9mm projectiles, 4k worth of 38/357 projectiles (and another 1500 on the way), and 3k worth of 44cal projectiles.
That is why I say I still need about another 10k-11k worth of bullets - though actually I guess I only need another 8.5k-9.5k since I have that order of 1500 on the way. But still, even 8500 bullets at 7.7 cents apiece is going to be right at 650 bucks.....
I'm trying to budget around 100 bucks a month on reloading supplies so that when I retire and have more time and less money I can still reload and shoot to my heart's content and not worry about the cost.

StakeOut,
Thanks for the heads-up. I've been looking for a good primer sale for a while. LP, SP and SR @ $20/brick and I'm happy. Also picked up 250 .45 Berry's bullets on sale to try as I didn't want to order $75 worth from Berry's to get free shipping.

Before you head out to your local Cabelas to buy the S&B primers give the store a call to see what they have in stock.
The small pistol primers are showing $27.99 OUT OF STOCK/backorderable
