Maybe that explains it....
I had really good results with Bayou's 150 gr. SWC green coated bullets. But then, they wouldn't run in any gun. Horrible Since I had good experience I thought it was me, but the cartridges LOOKED perfect. The shank of the bullet was just peeking over the rim of the case. I believe that they even plunked ok in my test gauge (which has no rifling). Today was the last straw. A gun that usually eats any ammo got jammed up. And I finally figured out what it was.
A large number of the bullets are .359" in diameter. That's more like a fatter .38 special lead bullet. Well, I'm going gather up the remainder and send them back and hope to recover something for my frustration.
PS WHEN these bullets are right they make an extremely accurate target load with a very light charge of Acc #7.

Like Nevada said! But .359 is quite large...more like .38S&W and not the .38Spl.In both cases(9mm or .38Spl),there might/must be a slight bulge in the brass that'll prevent the round from being fully seated. Please give us a followup so as to prevent the problem to occur again.

Good luck on returning them. I returned some junk Berry's 44 plated bullets to them & they said that was normal production quality & did nothing, so I lost out both ways. Hopefully Bayou will do you better.

Good luck.
I've had dismal experience with bullet makers/sellers wanting to stand behind products that were significantly out of spec.

What were those bullets advertised as? A 150gr SWC is a strange weight for a 9mm bullet.

....and they were loaded for and fired in a 9mm pistol. SOME must be the right size because they shot like gangbusters.

It's only 3 grains off and I see a lot of cast bullets that aren't 'standard'. Look at the lines 3 and 4 on this page:
9mm
The flat points are 147 grain and the SWCs are 150 gr.
I don't think some of them made it into the sizer.
I also think I'm really good at getting frustrating 'bugs' that frustrate the fool out of me until I can get things figured out. Sometimes it takes a while.
I'm going to measure more to see how many are this big.

I use 103 gn .357-.358 lead projectiles in one of my 9mm pistols (it likes light fast loads) with no problems.
Have you tried running a few through a resizing die to see what happens?

When you buy bullets on the internet you never know what you will get.
I bought 500 240gr 44 caliber cast bullets from Xtreme Bullets and got about 20 210gr 41 caliber mixed in.

Donnie is usually very accommodating. Contact him at Bayou and I'll almost bet he'll ship you replacement without wanting you to send back the bad ones.
